This view is from the stone covered bed of the Jordan Creek just below Wehr's Dam. Water levels are low enough to allow for this shot to be taken safely. The water ripples against this portion of the creek bed, while reflecting the vibrant colors of the sky above as the sun sets on the Lehigh Valley. It's late April and many of the trees have not found their leaves yet.
Wehr's Dam is was built in 1904 to replace a wooden dam that had stood in it's place. It has survived a few recent attempts to have it removed. It's also a very popular fishing hole when trout season opens in the Spring.
