Description
A view of the Bethlehem Steelstacks from beneath The Bridge sculpture and under stormy skies. During events, this sculpture has a row of fire that runs the length of the sculpture. On this darkening evening, the sculpture is unlit and the surrounding event is area eerily quiet. So much so, that you can hear the pings and pangs of the Steelstacks when the wind blows.
The Steelstacks are what remain of historic Bethlehem Steel. Once the 2nd largest steel production plant in the country, The company was dissolved in 2003. Years later this area has been reimagined as a popular entertainment venue with thousands concerts and events hosted below the stacks annually.
