Description
The interior of the covered bridge at Covered Bridge Park is lit up for the holidays. This wooden bridge spans the Jordan Creek in the Lehigh Valley. Every year South Whitehall Township decorates the bridge and surrounding trees near the bridge. The various supports that move in arches and angles make this a beautiful bridge to photograph and even more-so when it's decorated for the holidays. South Whitehall township is a Municipality of Allentown, Pennsylvania.
This is a black and white conversion of the original photo.
Wehr's Covered Bridge was built in 1841 and lies along Wehr's Mill Road. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the bridge continues to carry small vehicles across the Jordan Creek to this date, with weight and height restrictions.
