An orange daylily with stamen on full display. This perennial flower is abundant in Eastern Pennsylvania throughout the Spring and Summer. This photograph was shot in the Lehigh Valley.
This macro photograph was carefully converted to a painting style image. This method highlights the flowers natural shape, vivid burnt orange petals and bright yellow pollen covered stamen.. The original photo was taken using a free lens technique which gets in extra close and provides a very shallow depth of field.
