Description
The Nesquehoning bridge, better known as the Lehigh Gorge Trail Bridge on a very foggy and misty December afternoon. The nearby mountainside is virtually covered in a layer of fog on this afternoon, where rain was falling off and on all day. The wooden bridge, curves out of site towards an abandoned red structure, which is likely related to the railway that parallels the trail behind the black fencing.
This is but one small section of the much larger D&L Trail, which runs for 165 miles through eastern Pennsylvania. The Lehigh Gorge Trail Bridge is located in Nesquehoning, Pennsylvania and is a 5 minute walk from an easily accessible parking area. The bridge spans the width of the Lehigh River.
