Description
Fall colors are taking hold in Allentown's Lehigh Parkway South. Warmer than average temperatures have kept the grass green and growing in these parts through October, while the leaves on area trees are well on their way changing colors. The Little Lehigh Creek is dotted with huge beautiful weeping willow trees, and walking paths run down both sides of the creek.
This image was taken from a bridge located halfway between Allentown's fish hatchery and the iconic Bogert's bridge. Interstate 78 crosses over the parkway and it's arching support structure is visible in the image. This long exposure photograph captures the movement of the creeks water over small rapids before they head downstream. I went out quite early to get this shot, before the park filled with runners, walkers and fishermen.
