A group of pink echinacea flourish just outside of Covered Bridge Park's norther entrance. This coneflower stands out with it's large pink flowers surrounding a dark cone. These are mature versions of the flower that have taken on a lavender pink shade. The echinacea is a perennial flower cultivated since the 1700's in both North America and Europe used by early native Americans to cure wounds and infections.
