This black and white closeup shot of the Soldiers and Sailors monument occurs under stormy skies on an April afternoon. Framing the monument are the PPL Center on the right and Wells Fargo bank on the left. This monument sits in the very center or 7th and Hamilton Streets in downtown Allentown. Traffic is required to travel around either side to move through the intersection. The monument was dedicated in 1899 to honor the 47th Pennsylvania Volunteers and other men who served during America’s Civil War.
