Description
The Jordan Creek flows under a covered bridge at Covered Bridge Park. This panoramic long exposure shot captures the flow of the river under the red painted bridge, along with a tree on the banks of the creek. Covered Bridge Park is located in South Whitehall Township and also sometimes in Allentown depending on who you talk to. This bridge is about 100 feet directly downstream from Wehr's Dam, a historic 100+ year old dam.
Wehr's Covered Bridge was built in 1841 and lies along Wehr's Mill Road. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the bridge continues to carry small vehicles across the Jordan Creek to this date, with weight and height restrictions. During the holidays, the bridge is decorated with Christmas lights and decorations, which I have images available as well!
